Magento 2 Change Customer Password from Admin

Overview

Magento 2 Change Customer Password from Admin makes it possible to set or change a customer password via the admin panel. This extension allows administrators to change their customer passwords.

Magento 2 does not have the ability to create\change a customer password from the admin panel. In Magento 1, there was a field for easily updating a customer’s password to a specific string. However, in Magento 2, the feature has been removed. The expectation is that if you are in the admin panel you will reset their password and Magento will request the user to create a new password by following a link sent to them in their email address. With the help of this extension, you can create\edit any customer and set it to any password from the admin panel. Admin can now quickly and easily change and set the customer password from the admin panel without a required confirmation email.

With the help of this extension, you will have an ability to log in as a customer (with multi-stores support) on the frontend from the admin panel without using the customer's password. Customer Manager allows the admin to enable or disable this "Login as Customer" feature whenever required from the admin panel. This extension allows the admin user to log into a customer's account in one click, without using a password or changing authentication data.

Installation:

After finishing purchasing process, we will immediately send you an email containing the link to download the extension or Download the extension's package from your Mageefy Customer Account. Please follow the below steps to install the extension.

• Step 1: Unpack/Unzip the contents of the zip folder that you have downloaded.
• Step 2: Connect to your website source folder with FTP/SFTP/SSH client as a user who has permissions to write to the Magento file system
• Step 3: Upload all the files and folders from the extension's installation package to the corresponding root folder of your Magento installation
• Step 4: Via SSH, navigate to the Magento 2 root directory and run this command to enable the extension:
  php bin/magento module:enable Mageefy_CustomerManager
• Step 5: Now, run the following command
• php bin/magento setup:upgrade
• php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
• Step 6: Then clear the cache. Go to Admin -> SYSTEM -> Tools -> Cache Management, selecting all caches, clicking “refresh” from the drop-down menu, and submitting the changes.
• Now the module is enabled in the system and it is ready to be configured and used.

Login into the admin panel then Go To STORES  >>  Configuration >> Mageefy Extensions  >> Customer Manager and here you can see all the settings or configuration of the module.
